What I want to say to artists who have poor vocal technique, and are quiet, then ask me for more monitors, when their monitors are already on the verge of feedback.
Option #1: (in the voice of scotty from star trek) “I’m giving her all she’s got!”
Option #2: “SING LOUDER!”
Even sweet/soft sounding professional vocalists project. Put energy and effort into your craft. This should be extremely important to you! I care, and your audience cares, but mostly, you should care.
If you can’t sing loud, work on it. It’s ok. You probably can do it. I’ve seen people sing with 5 times more presence, with only minutes of coaching. It’s worth it, you’re worth it.
I have some homework for you:
PRACTICE SINGING BETTER! :)
Peace, love, and cheese,
Jeremy D.
